Ford Motor Company has issued a recall affecting approximately 128,000 F-150 trucks from the 2022 and 2023 model years due to potential brake line corrosion in vehicles sold in northern salt-belt states.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration confirmed that corroded brake lines could leak fluid, resulting in reduced braking capability. No accidents have been reported so far.
Owners will receive notification letters beginning May 1, and dealers will inspect and replace affected brake lines at no charge. Concerned owners can check their VIN on Ford's recall website immediately.
