Stellantis has issued a recall affecting approximately 185,000 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited models from the 2024 and 2025 model years due to steering column bolts that may not have been properly torqued during assembly.

The defect could cause the steering wheel to feel loose or unresponsive, posing a significant safety risk particularly at highway speeds. No crashes or injuries have been reported related to this issue.

Dealers will inspect and re-torque the steering column mounting bolts free of charge. Owners can check their VIN on the NHTSA recall website to determine if their vehicle is affected.
