Toyota Motor North America has issued a recall for approximately 340,000 RAV4 Hybrid models from the 2023 through 2025 model years due to a potential defect in the high-voltage battery cooling system.
The automaker discovered that a faulty sensor can cause the battery cooling pump to shut down prematurely, leading to overheating during sustained highway driving in warm climates.
Owners will receive free repairs at authorized dealers beginning in May, and Toyota is urging affected customers to schedule appointments immediately.
